A very long lifetime in the music business, Mike started playing piano at the age of 7 and then moved onto guitar at the age of 12. He also learnt military style drumming in the Boys Brigade.
Mike formed his first band at the age of 12 and since then he has been involved in numerous bands including, a 24-piece 'big band', a 'heavy rock band' and several 'named sixties bands'

Mike has played on several recording sessions away from the band including numerous radio and television appearances and has backed several 'well known' artists. His musical tastes range from 'classical' to 'rock' but predominately 'sixties'. Mike has also written numerous songs that have been performed and recorded by many local bands. He was also the winner of 'The BBC Radio WM' songwriter's competition, 'An Anthem for Solihull'.
